To be admitted to Nature's hearth costs nothing. None is excluded, but excludes himself.

A Southwest Rap…

I had to pass this along…watch & listen.

How to get audience attention?  Make it fun, switch things up a bit.

That’s a ‘rap’….Happy flying!

Art of travel

Wired magazine has posted a short piece on the art medium used in Flight Patterns, created by Aaron Koblin.   This is a artist’s view of 24 hrs of flights using a Google map format and based on data taken from Flight View.  Very cool indeed.  As one of the comments noted, it would make a great desktop shot.

Check out the link by clicking on the image.  This particular shot is the Atlanta hub.

Puzzling flu symptoms

I have had some kind of flu bug for several days now and I’m not happy about it!  There’s been just enough energy to get Mark to his eye appointments and then I am back home to wallow in my germs.

The downside of sickness is, you either get lots of rest or not nearly enough.  And for some reason, I am falling into the latter category.

‘Lose weight while sleeping’ infomercials on late on night TV are having no appeal to my already sedentary state (coach says no workouts!).

The only cure…Sudoku puzzles.

sudoku

Two little tips for low-cost, late-night entertainment during recessionary times (and a fine non-prescription cure for insomnia):

  1) Sudoku puzzle books can be found at the dollar store; and

  2) you can easily add the Sudoku gadget to your iGoogle page.

Within a few minutes of tackling even the easiest of puzzles, I am sleeping soundly, dreaming of grid patterns and numbers 1 through 9.  If the dreams become nightmares, they usually have the same theme…the ‘high degree of difficulty’ puzzles at the end of the book.  Therefore, I have begun tearing out those pages and am back in la-la land.
