Word up. That was fantastic. How do you think Air Canada could handle it better? Maybe all they need to do is start smiling!
Smiling would be a great start (although there might be an extra charge - no free smiles!)
Consider Ryanair (Irish low-cost airline famous for hidden or add-on fees). If they had their way, everything would cost you more...like on-board toilet use - literally 'pay-as-you-go'! Yikes!
