Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips, seemed to appreciate the importance of friendships and adventures (or misadventures as was often the case for the two BFFs). Watterson's final strip was in 1995 and after sharing many years of Calvin and Hobbes' crazy antics with all of us, it was appropriate that Calvin's final words to Hobbes would be:
"It's a magical world, Hobbes ol' buddy...let's go exploring!"
...and so we did.
